Tromexinovet Powder

White odorless powder.

Composition

1 g of the drug contains the following active ingredients:
sulfamethoxypyridazine - 200 mg;
trimethoprim - 60 mg;
tetracycline (hydrochloride) - 110 mg;
bromhexine (hydrochloride) - 1.3 mg;
acetylsalicylic acid - 10 mg.
Excipients - up to 1 g.

Pharmacological properties

Tromeksinovet - a combined drug with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. The combination of trimethoprim with sulfamethoxypyridazine and tetracycline gives a synergistic effect, which increases the antimicrobial spectrum of action of the drug. Tromexinovet is active against gram-positive (Actinomyces spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium spp,, Corynebaclerium spp., Erysipelotrix rhusiopalhiae, Streptococcus spp., Lisleria monocytogenes) and gram-negative bacteria (Actinobacillus spp., Bortadella bronchiseptica, Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp.).

Sulfamethoxypyridazine is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Salmonella spp., E. coll, Pasteurella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Bordetella spp., as well as protozoa (Coccidia, Toxoplasma) and rickettsia (Rickettsia), less active against Proteus. The mechanism of action is associated with PABA and competitive inhibition of dihydropteroate synthetase, which leads to impaired synthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid, necessary for the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines.

Trimethoprim acts against gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp. and others) and gram-negative (E. coli. Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., etc.) microorganisms. It inhibits bacterial reductase, which converts dehydrofolic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the synthesis of purines and nucleic acids.

Tetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that acts on bacterial ribosomes, thereby inhibiting the synthesis of microbial proteins. It has a wide spectrum of action, sensitive to it are gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., E. coli, Actinomyces spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium perfringes ma Clostridium tetani, Listeria monocitogenes ma Nocardia, Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp., Bartonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Shigella spp. ma Yersinia spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.), some large viruses, protozoa, spirochetes, Rickettsia (Rickettsia), Mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.) and Chlamydia (Chlamidia spp.).

Bromhexine is a substance that has mucolytic effect (thins mucus). Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions due to depolarization of acidic polysaccharides and stimulation of secretory cells of the bronchial mucosa.

Acetylsalicylic acid is an anti-inflammatory agent. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Use

Treatment of cattle, pigs and poultry (chickens, broilers, turkeys, geese and ducks) suffering from pasteurellosis, pneumonia, bronchitis, enteritis, gastroenteritis, dysentery, septicemia, as well as diseases of the digestive tract, respiratory organs and genitourinary system caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug.

Dosage

Orally with water, milk or feed in a dose of:
cattle and pigs - 3 g of the drug per 30 kg of body weight on the first day, and 2 g of the drug per 30 kg of body weight on the following days, as well as 1-2 days after the disappearance of symptoms, or 1 kg of the drug per 2000 liters of water or 1000 kg of feed.
In severe cases, a double dose is used in the first two days of treatment;

poultry - 2 g of the drug per liter of drinking water on the first day, 1 g of the drug per liter of drinking water on the second and third days, can be repeated on the fourth and fifth days if the symptoms do not go away. For newborn animals, half the dose is used.

Contraindications

Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to sulfamethoxypyridazine, trimethoprim, tetracycline, bromhexine and acetylsalicylic acid.
Do not use in animals with impaired liver and kidney function.
Do not use in dairy cows whose milk is used for human consumption. Do not use in laying hens whose eggs are used for food people.

Precautions

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 15 (cattle, pigs) and 5 (poultry) days after the last use of the drug. The meat obtained before the specified period is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian

A dry, dark place inaccessible to children at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C.
Shelf life - 5 years from manufacturing dates.
