Composition
1 ml of the drug contains: tiamulin hydrogen fumarate - 145 mg; tylosin tartrate - 105 mg; excipients: propylene glycol, ethanol, propylgalate, butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, pyrogen-free water - up to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties
The combination of two mutually reinforcing antibacterial components is selected in such a ratio that provides a universally wide and reliable spectrum of action against the causative agents of key economically significant bacterioses, mycoplasmosis, rickettsioses, spirochetosis, treponemoses and chlamydia affecting pigs and livestock.
Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic from the pleuromulin group. Inhibiting protein synthesis in microorganisms, tiamulin acts bacteriostatically with respect to: gram-positive (Erysipelotrix spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium pyogenes) and gram-negative bacteria (Pasteurcellularia intracellularis coli, Lawobacterium necrophilia, ); mycoplasmas (M. bovis, M. hypopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. synoviae, M. hyosynoviae, Ureoplaasma spp., etc.); leptospira spp.; spirochetes (Serpulina hyodysenteria S. innocens); treponema (T. hyodysenteriae) and chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.).
Tylosin is an antibiotic from the macrolide group. Its bacteriostatic action is based on the inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis due to binding to ribosomes. Tylosin is active against: gram-positive (Actinomycos spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Streptococcus spp., E. colli, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae) and gram-negative bacteria (Brucella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Fusobacterium spp. ., Salmonella spp., Treponema spp., Bortalella bronchiseptica, Proteus mirabilis, etc.) and inhibits the action of some strains of Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Ureplasma and Rіkettsia.
Application
Treatment of young animals (chickens, turkeys, goslings, ducklings) and adult birds with mixed bacterial infections of the respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract, infectious bronchitis; chronic respiratory diseases caused by mycoplasmas, escherichiosis (colibacillosis), pasteurellosis and bacterial complications of viral diseases.
Young birds (prophylactically) drink the drug with water every day from the 1st to the 5th, and then from the 18th to the 20th day of life.
For pigs - with a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose in case of erysipelas, dysentery, ileitis, leptospirosis, listeriosis, campylobacteriosis, colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, infectious gastroenteritis, spirochete enterocolitis, atrophic renalitis, plentiful enzooticumatica.
Dosage
With a therapeutic purpose Timtil-250 is given to a bird for 3-5 days with water in a dose of 1 ml per 1 liter of water. For prophylactic purposes - 0.5 ml per 1 liter of water.
Aerosolized at the rate of 1 ml per 10 m3, with an exposure of 30 minutes, 2-3 days in a row.
Pigs are given the drug in a mixture with water at a dose of 0.8 ml per 10 kg of body weight per day, 3-5 days in a row. When pigs are ill with enzootic pneumonia, mycoplasmic arthritis, the indicated dose is increased to 1.0 - 1.2 ml per 10 kg of body weight.
After a course of treatment for pigs suffering from dysentery or ileitis, after 8-10 days, it is advisable to repeat the treatment with this drug or other antimicrobial drugs for oral administration (Brovamulin-100, Brovamulin-plus, and the like) in prophylactic doses according to the available instructions.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to ADV drug. Do not use for sows in the first month after insemination, breeding boars, laying hens during the period of egg production.
Cautions
It is not recommended to use Timtil-250 simultaneously with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycin, as the antibacterial effect decreases. Pigs should not use products that are based on polyester ionophores (monensin, narasin, salinomycin, etc.) for at least a week before and after the course of treatment.
Slaughter of pigs and poultry for meat is allowed 10 days after the last use of the drug. Until the specified time, these products are fed to unproductive animals or used to make meat and bone meal (depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor).
Storage
A dry, dark place at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C. After the first selection from the bottle, the rest of the solution must be used within 20 days, provided it is stored in a household refrigerator.
Expiration date - 3 years from the date of manufacture.
