Pharmachologic effect:
Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic. Gentian violet is an antiseptic dye with weak antifungal and antimicrobial activity. As a result, a combined effect occurs - chloramphenicol inhibits the protein synthesis of the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, and gentian violet acts on the acid groups of the nucleoproteins of the microbial cell.
Application:
Pre-cleanse the damaged area from contamination and remove dead tissue. Shake the bottle well and spray for 1-2 seconds from a distance of 15-20 cm from the affected surface. Do not allow the animal to lick the drug for 5 minutes. Processing is carried out 1-3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the severity and speed of healing, but should not exceed 10 days. Animals are treated outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. When treating lesions in the head area, avoid getting the drug into the eyes.
