Pharmacological properties
Gentamicin belongs to the aminoglycoside. It is active for Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. Shigella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp., Some species of Proteus spp. ta Serratia spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Serpulina hyodysenteriae, Mycoplasma spp. In sensitive cells gentamicin operates in several directions: the impact on the integrity of the cytoplasmic membrane, the effect on the metabolism of RNA; inhibition of protein synthesis at the ribosomal subunit ZOs level.
Application
Treatment of cattle, calves, sheep, goats and pigs in diseases of the digestive tract and respiratory system, caused by pathogens susceptible to gentamicin.
Batching
Intramuscularly in a dose – 1 ml per 20-40 kg m. V. The animal (gentamicin 5-10 mg per 1 kg of. Sc.), Twice daily for 3 days.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to gentamicin or any filler.
Do not use in animals with impaired renal function, hearing and balance. Do not use with bacteriostatic, nephrotoxic, ototoxic drugs or neuromuscular blockers. Do not use with other aminoglycosides. Not administered intravenously with calcium supplementation. Do not use with iron supplementation and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Reservation
