Instructions for the use of Sanoderm
Description: white cream for external use.
Composition: 1 gram of ointment contains
- betamethasone dipropionate 0.64 mg;
- gentamicin sulfate 1 mg;
- clotrimazole 10 mg;
- nipagin 2 mg.
Pharmacological action: Sanoderm is an anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antibacterial, antifungal agent for the treatment of dermatomycosis in dogs and cats.
Betamethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and antipruritic effects. It inhibits the accumulation of leukocytes and the excretion of lysosomal enzymes and anti-inflammatory mediators into the inflammation focus, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular tissue permeability, and prevents the formation of inflammatory edema.
Clotrimazole has antifungal effects. Active against: Trichophyton rubrum,
Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furtur.
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group. Acts bactericidal in relation to gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
Indications: Skin diseases of allergic, bacterial and fungal etiology in dogs and cats.
Dosage: The cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin 2 times a day, rubbing gently. Before applying, the wool on the affected area is clipped. When the clinical condition improves, the drug is used once a day. The duration of treatment is determined by the elimination of the inflammatory process and the negative data of bacterial and mycological studies, the cessation of itching. The course of treatment is usually 2-4 weeks. A break of at least 20 days is required between repeated courses.
Warnings: Avoid contact with eyes and open wounds.
Side effect: With prolonged use, it is possible to suppress the function of the adrenal cortex.
Storage: at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees Celsius. Do not freeze.
