Pharmacological properties
The ointment has pronounced bacteriostatic properties, which are due to the effect of oxytetracycline - a broad-spectrum antimicrobial antibiotic, active against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphyllococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Rasterella spp., Salmonella spp. and others), as well as Rickettsia spp., some species of Chlamydia spp. and Musorlasma spp., inactive against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Oxytetracycline penetrates into the cells of microorganisms as a result of diffusion and partly by active transport. The action of oxytetracycline is due to a violation of protein synthesis due to the blockade of ribosome function in microorganisms sensitive to the drug.
Application
Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats and rabbits suffering from conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal ulcers and other eye diseases caused by micro-organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.
Dosage
The ointment is applied with a glass spatula or injected through the cannula of the tube (reliably fix the animal's head) behind the lower eyelid 1-2 times a day until recovery.

Hypersensitivity to oxytetracycline.
