Compound
100 ml of the preparation contains the active ingredient:
gonadorelin (in the form of diacetate tetrahydrate) 0.005 g
Excipients: benzyl alcohol, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, dipotassium phosphate, sodium chloride, water for injection up to 100 ml.

Gonadorelin is a synthetic hormone physiologically and chemically identical to the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which is synthesized in mammals.
Gonadorelin stimulates the synthesis and release of gonadotropins by the pituitary gland, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). GnRH binding activates the synthesis of protein kinase C (PKC) cascades, as well as mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), which provide an important link for signaling from the cell surface to the nucleus during the synthesis of gonadotropins.
After intramuscular injection of 100 μg of gonadorelin (in the form of diacetate tetrahydrate), the maximum concentration (Cmax) of 120.0 ± 34.2 ng / L is observed for 15 minutes (Tmax). The bioavailability of gonadorelin is estimated to be about 89%.
Gonadorelin is a naturally occurring peptide that is rapidly degraded to inactive metabolites.
After administration of gonadorelin to a cow, it is mainly excreted in milk, urine and feces. A high percentage of the administered dose is excreted as carbon dioxide in the exhaled air.
Application
Ovarelin is used in cows for:
ovulation delay treatment
follicular cysts treatment;
synchronization of estrus in cows.
Dosage
The drug is administered once in a dose of 2 ml per animal (which corresponds to 100 μg of gonadorelin) 4-10 hours after the detection of sexual heat (estrus). Artificial insemination of cows and physiologically mature heifers is carried out 12-24 hours after the detection of sexual heat (estrus), but not earlier than 2 hours after the administration of the drug.
