Composition

The active substance of the drug is ivermectin, which belongs to the compounds that are produced by microorganisms of the group Streptomices avermitis.
The drug Promectin oral has a pronounced effect on endo- and ectoparasites of poultry.
The mechanism of action on the parasite is that ivermectin stimulates the release of the neurotransmitter inhibition of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), resulting in blockade of impulse transmission between the insertion and motor excitatory neurons of the parasite's abdominal trunk and parasite parasite.
Application
The drug is recommended for use in the repair of young chickens:
For the treatment of diseases caused by roundworms: Ascaridia spp, Capillaria spp, and Strongyloides spp;
For the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by ectoparasites: mites (Dermatnyssus gallinea, Ornithodoros sylviarum), lice (Menacanthus stramineus, Menopon gallinea).
Dosage
The drug is recommended for feeding repair young chickens with drinking water. The calculated amount of the drug is diluted in one quarter of the drinking water that the bird receives during the day. It is recommended to drink the drug dissolved in water in the morning, and before drinking stop drinking water for two hours.
Recommended doses of the drug:
Against endoparasites: 1 ml per 25 kg body weight, equivalent to 0.4 mg ivermectin / kg body weight,
If necessary, the drug is repeated after 15 days.
Against ectoparasites: 1 ml per 25 kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 0.4 mg of ivermectin / kg of body weight.

Contraindications
Ivermectin is a safe substance and when using the drug in the recommended doses, no clinical signs of overdose are observed. However, in cases of overdose, symptomatic treatment should be used.
Caution
The period of hatching is: meat - 8 days.
Do not use the drug for 20 days before the start of the egg-laying period.
Storage
