White powder.
Structure
100 g of powder contains the active ingredient:
ftorfenikol – 2 grams
Pharmacological properties
Ftorfenikol is thiamphenicol derivative in which the hydroxyl group is substituted with a fluorine atom, which accounts for its antibacterial activity against atsetiltransferazosinteziruyuschih bacteria which are sensitive to chloramphenicol. This bacteriostatic synthetic broad spectrum of action. Ftorfenikol inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria. In the cytoplasm it binds to the 70S-ribosomal subunit, which inhibits peptidyl transferase enzyme activity, and, thus, inhibiting protein synthesis in ribosome respective bacteria. Ftorfenikol active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, namely Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp. (In addition chislі Salmonella choleraesuis), Haemophilus spp., Proteus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. (Including Streptococcus suis), Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyorhinis, and others.
Application
Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from pleuropneumonia, atrophic rhinitis disease Glessera (gemofileznogo polyserositis), as well as other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to ftorfenikolu.
Fish (carp and trout) fish treatment, the patient abrasions, as well as other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to ftorfenikolu.
Dosage
Orally in the following doses:
Pig – 1.5-2 kg of the drug per ton of feed (ftorfenikola 30-40 g / ton of feed) or 0,075-0,1 g of drug per kg of body weight (1.5-2 ftorfenikola mg / kg body weight) daily for 7 days;
fish (trout and carp) – 50 g product per 100 kg of body weight of fish (ftorfenikola 10 mg / kg of fish) daily for 10 days. For small and young fish daily dose divided into two equal parts. In the treatment of carp drug premixed with ungranulated feed, from which then cooked dough feeding.
