COMPOSITION AND FORM OF ISSUE
Enroxil tablets with the taste of meat for dogs and cats (international non-proprietary name: enrofloxacin) in one tablet contains 15, 50 or 150 mg of enrofloxacin and auxiliary components: mannitol, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, methacrylic acid copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, debutyl sebacinate , croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc, magnesium stearate and flavoring of the smell and taste of meat 10022. In appearance, it is a round, slightly biconvex tablet of light brown color with inclusions and a line on one side and with a beveled edge for internal use . The drug is packaged in blisters of 100 pieces, which are placed in cardboard boxes.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The active component of the drug is a well-studied fluoroquinolone, enrofloxacin, in medical and veterinary practice. It has an antimicrobial effect on a relatively wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Haemophilus influenzae, Bordetella and Brucella, Proteus, Clostridia and Mycoplasma, Listeria and Corynebacterium, as well as Campylobacteriosis pathogens and actinobacillary infection. The mechanism of action of enrofloxacin is due to inhibition of the activity of the gyrase enzyme, which is involved in the replication of the DNA helix in the nucleus of the bacterial cell. When ingested, the drug is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. The maximum concentration of enrofloxacin in the blood plasma is reached 1.5-2 hours after administration and remains at the therapeutic level for up to 24 hours. The drug is excreted mainly unchanged with urine and bile. According to the degree of influence on the body of warm-blooded animals, the drug belongs to low-hazardous substances and in the recommended doses does not have a local irritant or sensitizing effect.
APPLICATION
It is prescribed to dogs and cats for diseases of the respiratory, genitourinary and digestive systems, as well as soft tissues and otitis, infected wounds, the causative agents of which are sensitive to enrofloxacin.
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The drug is administered to animals individually 1 or 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening with food. In the process of giving the drug, no additional effort is required, as the animals eat Enroxyl tablets with the taste of meat on their own. Depending on the weight of the animal, tablets with different amounts of the active substance are selected for treatment at the rate of: 1 tablet of 15 mg of enrofloxacin per 3 kg of weight; 1 tablet of 50 mg per 10 kg of weight or 1 tablet of 150 mg per 30 kg of animal weight per day. The duration of treatment is from 5 to 10 days.
SIDE EFFECTS
In rare cases, sensitive animals may have individual signs of intolerance to the components of the medicinal product.
CONTRAINDICATION
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug. It is not recommended to prescribe the drug to kittens under 2 months of age, puppies up to a year (puppies of large breeds of dogs - up to 1.5 years), as well as animals with lesions of the nervous system. Do not use Enroxil tablets with the taste of meat simultaneously with theophylline, chloramphenicol, macrolides, tetracyclines and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

STORAGE CONDITIONS
In a dry place protected from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children and animals. Separately from food products and fodder in the manufacturer's packaging at a temperature from 0 to 25 ºС. The shelf life is 3 years.
