Drontal for cats is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for the prevention and treatment of helminthiasis in cats.
Composition:
The tablet is white, yellowish at the break, divided into two equal parts, contains 230 mg of pyrantel embonate,
20 mg of praziquantel.
Indications for use:
The tool is used for the prevention and therapeutic treatment of cats against round and tapeworms that parasitize cats: Tochosaga cati, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multi-locularis, Dipylidium spinum.
Dosage and method of application:
One tablet is designed for 4 kg of animal weight. The tablet is given once either by force or with food (in meat, minced meat, in a piece of butter). Preventive treatment of animals should be carried out at least 4 times a year, and this should be done before vaccination, mating, 10 days before farrowing. Preliminary diet and laxatives are not required.
Contraindications:
Weakened animals, sick animals. Preliminary consultation with a veterinarian is recommended.
Side effects:
Side effects and complications with proper use of the drug are not observed.

Drontal can be given to kittens, old and weakened animals, pregnant and lactating females. Since fleas are carriers of the larval stage of Dipylidium caninum, deworming should be carried out in conjunction with the treatment of the animal against fleas with one of the insecticides (Bolfo, Advantage).
