Apoquel on the blister is a new generation drug aimed at reducing itching and treating skin diseases in dogs. Effective for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. The active ingredient is Oclacitinib (Oclacitinib maleate), which provides a quick and effective effect directly on the cause of skin irritation, inflammation and itching. The main function of the active substance is to increase the protective functions of the immune system to allergens, directed against the cytokines involved in allergies, which are directly dependent on JAK1 and JAK3 enzyme activity. It has a minimal effect on changes in the structure of the blood and cells responsible for innate immunity.
Does not contain steroids, cyclosporines and antihistamine components.
Interaction with other drugs: Apoquel is approved for use in conjunction with antiparasitic agents, vaccines and antibiotics.
Application and dosage: administered orally. Apply to dogs over 12 months of age.
Recommended dosage:
from 0.18 mg. up to 0.27 mg.oclacitinib per 0.4 kg. body weight of the animal. 2 times a day for the first 14 days, then 1 time a day until the end of the course of treatment. Can be used alone or added to food.
Contraindications: dogs under 12 months old, pregnant and lactating bitches, as well as dogs during breeding. Do not take in the presence of various kinds of tumor foci, as well as dogs with serious infectious diseases.
Adverse reactions: with the correct dosage, no contraindications have been identified. Very rarely diarrhea and vomiting.
The released dosage is 3.6 mg., 5.4 mg., 16 mg. oclacitinib in 1 tab.
