Rikarfa 5% solution for injections, 20 ml

Composition
100 g of the drug contains the active ingredient:
carprofen – 50 mg.
Excipients: arginine, glycocholic acid, lecithin (soy), benzyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, water for injection, diluted hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH).

Rikarfa is used to relieve pain and inflammatory syndromes arising from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent in the postoperative period.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Rikarfa solution for injections is used in dogs and cats to relieve pain and inflammatory reactions after surgical interventions, as well as during premedication or during anesthesia.
Intramuscular administration of Rikarfa solution for injections to animals is prohibited. The drug should be prescribed with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian to animals with diseases of the heart, kidneys, liver, and gastrointestinal tract. The drug is contraindicated in pregnant animals.
In dogs, the drug is used intravenously or subcutaneously at a dose of 4.0 mg/kg of carprofen (1 ml of Rikarf solution for injections per 12.5 kg of animal weight). To continue analgesia, the drug is administered again after 24 hours in a half dose (2 mg of carprofen per 1 kg of weight).
If further therapy is necessary, the treatment can be continued by prescribing Rykarf tablets.
Cats are given the drug once intravenously or subcutaneously at a dose of 4 mg/kg of carprofen (0.24 ml of Rikarfa solution for injections per 3 kg of animal weight).

PERSONAL PREVENTION MEASURES
When working with the drug, it is necessary to follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety techniques provided for when working with medicinal products for animals.
People with hypersensitivity to carprofen should avoid direct contact with Rikarfoy solution for injection. If the drug gets on the skin or mucous membranes, it must be washed off immediately with running water and soap. In case of allergic reactions and/or accidental ingestion of the drug, you should immediately contact a medical institution (have the instructions for using the drug or the label with you).
It is forbidden to use the empty container from the medicinal product for domestic purposes; it is subject to disposal with household waste.
