Treatment and prevention of flea infestation: A single treatment with the drug destroys and prevents flea infestation for 4-6 weeks. It is advisable to combine the treatment of the animal with the drug Advocaat with the treatment of the surrounding environment (for example, Bolfo aerosol). In the treatment of allergic flea dermatitis, the drug should be used monthly.
Treatment of otodectosis: Recommended single dose. It is advisable to consult a veterinarian 30 days after treatment, as some animals require re-treatment. DO NOT apply in the ear canal.
Prevention of heartworm disease: The drug should be used starting 1 month before the period of activity of blood-sucking insects (April) and ending 1-2 months after the end of the period of their activity (October). The interval between treatments is 30 days. It is recommended to diagnose heartworm disease in cats over 6 months of age before prophylactic treatment. If the animal has confirmed the presence of mature forms of heartworm, then treatment should be carried out according to modern methods.
Nematodes: Monthly treatment with Advokat ® reduces the possibility of reinvasion by nematodes. Advokat ® can be used as a seasonal treatment against nematodes.
Application method
For external use. Remove the pipettes from the package, remove the cap by piercing the protective foil. Part the fur in the neck area at the base of the animal's skull so that the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin, squeeze the pipette to place the drug directly on the skin. Application at the base of the skull avoids the possibility of animals licking the drug. Apply the drug to intact skin.
Contraindication
Do not use kittens less than 9 weeks old. For sick, weakened, as well as cats weighing less than 1 kg, the drug should be used at the discretion and under the supervision of a veterinarian. Other macrocyclic lactones should not be used during treatment.
Adverse effects
In very rare cases, short-term itching, fur contamination, erythema on the skin, and vomiting may occur. All these symptoms disappear without treatment. The drug is bitter, therefore, if the animal licks the application site after processing, in rare cases, salivation is possible, which is not a sign of intoxication and passes after a few minutes, sometimes nervous phenomena may occur during licking, which quickly pass. Correct application of the drug minimizes the possibility of animals licking the application.
