NexgarD Spectra is a combination of two active substances active against the most common external and internal parasites of dogs. In addition to acting on external parasites, NexgarD Spectrum fights against helminths - roundworms, ringworms and hookworms, and is also aimed at protecting dogs from heartworm disease. Tablets created on the basis of soy protein with the taste and smell of beef, in most cases, are eaten with pleasure by dogs. Since the tablets are made on a plant basis, they do not cause allergies to animal proteins.
Application: Nexgard Spectrum is prescribed to dogs for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal nematodes, acarosis caused by ixodic mites, aphanipterosis, in the complex therapy of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas, as well as for the prevention of dirofilariasis caused by the larvae of Dirofilaria immitis. Contraindications to use are increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug, severe liver and kidney function disorders. The drug should not be used in patients with infectious diseases and weakened animals-dogs under the age of 8 weeks and/or weighing less than 2 kg, as well as animals of other species. Puppies of dog breeds sensitive to macrocyclic lactones, including collies, bobtails and shelties, use the drug under the supervision of a veterinarian. Neksgard Spectrum is used for dogs individually orally once in a minimum dose of 2.5 mg of afoxolaner and 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime per 1 kg of animal weight in accordance with the table:
When using the drug for dogs weighing more than 60 kg, a combination of pills should be used, at the rate of 2.5 mg of afoxolaner and 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime per 1 kg of weight. It is not allowed to break the tablets when selecting the dose of the drug. NexgarD Spectrum has an attractive aroma and taste and, as a rule, is willingly eaten by dogs, otherwise the drug is fed in a mixture with food. You should make sure that the dog has completely swallowed the required dose of the drug.
