Composition
1 ml of product contains AI:
tiamulin hydrogen fumarate – 145 mg;
tylosin tartrate – 105 mg.
Additional agents: propylene glycol, ethanol, propyl gallate, butyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, distillated water.
Clinical pharmacology
TT Guard-250 is a co-formulated drug, consisting of tiamulin and tylosin. These components potentize each other.
Tiamulin is a semisynthetic antibiotic of pleuromutilins. Suppressing protein synthesis of microorganisms, tiamulin shows bacteriostatic action as to gram-positive (Erysipelotrix spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Actinomyces pyogenes) and gram-negative microorganisms (Pasteurella spp., Campylobacter spp., Fusobacterium spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae); microplasma (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, M. hyorhinis, M. bovis, M. synoviae etc.); leptospira (Leptospira spp.); spirochetes (S. hyodysenteria, S. innocens); spirochetes (T. hyodysenteriae) and chlamydiae (Chlamydia spp.).
Tylosin is an antibiotic of macrolides. Its bacteriostatic action is based on suppressing of bacterial synthesis of proteins as result of connecting with ribosomes. Tylosin is active as to gram-positive (Actinomycos spp., Clostridium spp.,Corynebacterium spp., Streptococcus spp., Leptospira spp., Erysipelothrix spp., B. anthracis) and gram-negative microorganisms (Brucella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., B. bronchiseptica, P. Mirabilis, E. coli тощо). It suppresses activity of microplasma (Mycoplasma spp.), chlamydiae (Chlamydia spp.), spirochetes (Treponema spp.) and rickettsiae (Rikettsia spp.).
Application
Poultry (hens, turkeys, geese, ducks and growing stock): prevention and treatment of poultry, suffered from bronchitis, mycoplasmosis, colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, diseases of digestive tract and respiratory organs, caused with microorganisms, being sensitive to tiamulin and tylosin.
Pigs: treatment of animals, suffered from erysipelas, dysenteria, ileitis, leptospirosis, listerellosis, campylobacteriosis, colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, keel disease, infectious gastroenteritis, spirochetosis, enterocolitis, atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia, pleuropheumonia acinobacilus suum and mycoplasma arthritis, caused with microorganisms, being sensitive to tiamulin and tylosin.
Dosage
Orally with drinking water in dose:
poultry (hens, turkeys, geese, ducks and growing stock) – 1 ml of product per 1 lt of drinking water (therapeutic dose) during 3-5 days. To growing stock of poultry (preventive) product is bucketed in dose 0,5 ml of product per 1 lt of drinking water daily from 1st to 5th and than from 18th tо 20th life day;
pigs – 0,8 ml of product per 10 kg bwg per a day during 3-5 days. In the case of enzootic pneumonia and mycoplasma arthritis of pigs, indicated dose is raised tо 1,0-1,2 ml of product per 10 kg bwg. After treatment of pigs, suffered from dysenteria or ileitis, in 8-10 days administration must be repeated.
Contradictions
Individual hypersensibility tо tiamulin and tylosin. Do not apply to bred sows during the first month of pregnancy, breeding boars, laying hens during egg-laying stage. Do not apply TT Guard-250 at the same time with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycins. Do not apply to pigs drugs, polyether – ionophores –based (monensin, narasin, salinomycin etc.) at least before, during and after hens treatment.
Precautions
Animals slaughter for meat is allowed only in 10 days after the last administration. Meat, received before indicated date, must be utilized or fed to non-productive animals, depending on conclusion of veterinarian.

Storage
Dry place, protected from light, at temperature from 5°С tо 25°С. After the first taking, product is usable during 20 days, storing in refrigerator.
Shelf life – 3 years from manufacture date.
